Solar lights look good and seem like a cool idea, but are they really worth getting for your outdoor lighting and landscaping needs? This blog gives you real experiences, with real people, with real solar lights. Solar light owner, D'wan Carey, shares her thoughts:

"My husband and I purchased a small set of solar lights for our front yard. We love them, there are no cords, easy set up--as in--stick them in the ground, and they are very attractive."

"The idea that I am using a natural, and renewable source, which lowers our energy consumption is a big draw. We wish to equip our home in the future with solar panels as well."

We followed up with D'wan and she told us that her solar lights work after 2 years! However, they aren't as durable to withstand impact from 2 strong children =p. So take care of them! Credits to D'wan from flickr!
